
NFL #ProDucks: Week 5

Marcus Mariota stole the show amongst the #ProDucks ranks in Week 5, accounting for four touchdowns while leading the Titans to a win. In New England, LeGarrette Blount found the end zone for the fifth time this season and Patrick Chung recorded his first interception of the year, while Kiko Alonso continued to shine at linebacker in Miami and Josh Huff scored his first touchdown of the season for the Eagles.
Carolina Panthers
- TE Ed Dickson played and assisted on one special teams tackle in the Panthers' 17-14 loss to the Tampay Bay Buccaneers on Monday Night Football. The defending NFC Champions fell to 1-4 and will look to get their season back on track this Sunday at 10 a.m. PT in New Orleans against the 1-3 Saints.
- RB Jonathan Stewart was inactive for the third straight week against the Buccaneers, but reports have been optimistic about Stewart playing this week against the Saints. Stewart returned to practice yesterday along with quarterback Cam Newton, so it appears Carolina will get reinforcements this week from two of its biggest offensive weapons.
- C Hroniss Grasu is on the Reserved/Injured list with a torn ACL and will not play this season.
- OL Kyle Long made his fifth straight start at right guard as the Bears fell to 1-4 with a 29-23 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. The offensive line play was a rare positive for the Bears this season, as they did not allow a sack and helped Jordan howard run for 118 yards and Brian Hoyer throw for 397 yards and two scores. Chicago hosts the Jacksonville Jaguars this week at 10 a.m on Sunday.
- OL Jake Fisher was active but did not play in the Bengals' 28-14 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Cincinnati travels to the 4-1 New England Patriots this week at 10 a.m. on Sunday.
- S T.J. Ward led the Broncos with eight tackles, six solo, while also recovering a fumble in their 23-16 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. The loss was the first of the season for the defending Super Bowl champions. Through five games, Ward is second on the team with 27 total tackles and first with 24 solo tackles while also forcing a pair of fumbles.
- OL Darrion Weems came off the bench for the fifth consecutive game, seeing time at right tackle and as a sixth lineman. Weems, Ward and the Broncos travel to San Diego to take on the Chargers tonight at 5:25 p.m. on Thursday Night Football.
- DT Haloti Ngata played but did not record any statistics in the Lions' 24-23 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. At 2-3, the Lions will host the 3-2 Los Angeles Rams on Sunday at 10 a.m.
- S Eddie Pleasant played in the Texans' 31-13 loss to the undefeated Minnesota Vikings and recorded two passes defensed. The Texans host the Indianapolis Colts at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday Night Football (NBC).
- OLB Tony Washington Jr. is currently on the Texans' Reserved/Injured list.
- CB Terrance Mitchell is currently on the Chiefs' practice squad. The Chiefs had a bye in Week 5.
- WR De'Anthony Thomas has not been active for a game yet this season. Kansas City takes on the 4-1 Oakland Raders at 1:05 p.m. on Sunday.
- CB Troy Hill made one solo tackle in the Rams' 30-19 loss to the Buffalo Bills. Hill has played in all five games this season, making 19 total tackles with 18 solo and a pass defensed. The Rams travel to Detroit this week to play the Lions on Sunday at 10 a.m.
- LB Kiko Alonso was the Dolphins' most active and effective defender once again, making 12 tackles, eight solo, with a tackle for loss in their 30-17 loss to the Tennessee Titans. Through five games, Alonso is third in the NFL in total tackles with 57, making 40 of those solo. He also has two fumble recoveries. Alonso will look to continue his defensive tear this week when the Dolphins host the 4-1 Pittsburgh Steelers at 10 a.m. on Sunday.

- CB Ifo Ekpre-Olomu is on the Reserved/Injured list after suffering an ACL injury in training camp and will not play this season.
- LB Spencer Paysinger was active and made two solo tackles against the Titans.
- DE Dion Jordan remains on the Active/Non Football Injury list as he works his way back from a knee injury.
- RB LeGarrette Blount ran for 37 yards on 18 carries and found the end zone for the fifth time this season in the Patriots' 33-13 win over the Cleveland Browns. Through five games, Blount is tied for second in the league with five scores and eighth with 389 rushing yards. The 4-1 Patriots will host the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday at 10 a.m.

- S Patrick Chung tied for the team-lead with seven total tackles, five solo, and recorded his first interception of the year against the Browns. Chung's ninth career pick came off of quarterback Charlie Whitehurst midway thorough the third quarter, as he snagged a ball out of the air that went off a Cleveland receiver.
- S Jairus Byrd and C Max Unger were on a bye this week and will host the Carolina Panthers this Sunday at 10 a.m.
- RB Kenjon Barner was active but did not record any statistics in the Eagles' 24-23 loss to the Detroit Lions. Barner has rushed for 86 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries this season. The Eagles will take on the Washington Redskins on the road this Sunday at 10 a.m.
- WR Josh Huff caught three passes for five yards and a touchdown and rushed for 10 yards on two carries against the Lions. The one-yard touchdown catch was Huff's first of the season and fourth of his career.

- RB Byron Marshall is currently on the Eagles' practice squad.
- LB Joe Walker is on the Injured/Reserved list and will not play this season.
- QB Kellen Clemens did not see the field in the Chargers' 34-31 loss to the Oakland Radiers. At 1-4, the Chargers are set to host the Denver Broncos tonight at 5:25 p.m. on Thursday Night Football.
- OT Tyler Johnstone is on San Diego's Reserved/Injured list with an undisclosed injury.
- DL Arik Armstead was active and made three tackles, two solo, in the 49ers' 33-21 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday Night Football. Armstead continues to play through a shoulder injury, and will do so once again on Sunday at 10 a.m. in Buffalo against the Bills.
- OL Alex Balducci is currently on the 49ers' practice squad.
- DL DeForest Buckner was inactive against the Cardinals with a foot injury, but returned to practice yesterday and has a good chance of returning to the field this week against the Bills.

- DT Taylor Hart was active for the first time this season and made two tackles, one solo.
- TE Brandon Williams and the Seahawks were on a bye this week and will host the Atlanta Falcons at 1:25 p.m. on Sunday.
- QB Marcus Mariota put together his most complete performance of the season in the Titans' 30-17 win over the Miami Dolphins, completing 20-of-29 passes for 163 yards and three touchdowns to go with 60 rushing yards and a touchdown on seven carries. Mariota opened the scoring with a five-yard scamper at the end of the first quarter, and then put the Titans up seven midway through the second with a five-yard TD pass to Andre Johnson. With the game tied again and the first half winding down, Mariota found Delanie Walker for a 20-yard score to put the Titans up 21-14 at the half. Leading by seven in the fourth quarter and looking to put the game away, Mariota hit Rishard Matthews from four yards out to help seal the win. Through five games, Mariota has thrown for 1,088 yards while completing 100-of-165 passes (60.6%) with seven touchdowns and five interceptions while running for 132 yards and a score on 20 carries. Mariota will lead the Titans against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday at 10 a.m.

BC Lions
- RB Jeremiah Johnson is currently in his third CFL season and first as a Lion. Johnson has totaled 509 yards on 84 carries with six touchdowns in seven games this season. Johnson ran for 41 yards on eight carries in his most recent game against Edmonton, and had a monster performance on Sept. 9 against Montreal, running for 159 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries, averaging 9.9 yards per rush.
- LB Bo Lokombo is in his third CFL season with the Lions and has 16 total tackles in 13 games this season.
- QB Jeremiah Masoli is enjoying a strong year in his fourth season with Hamilton. Masoli has completed 178-of-259 (68.7 percent) passes for 2,058 yards this season while tossing nine touchdowns. Masoli got his opportunity once again at quarterback in the Tiger-Cats' most recent game against Calgary, throwing for 151 yards while completing 16-of-28 passes. Masoli also ran for 26 yards and a score on four carries and has run for 150 yards and five touchdowns on 35 carries this season.
- QB Vernon Adams Jr. is in his first season with the Alouettes after leading college football in passer efficiency with the Ducks in 2015. Adams Jr. has played in eight games this season, throwing for 35 yards on four completions and adding 32 rushing yards and a touchdown on 16 carries. Adams' first career touchdown came on August 26 against Winnipeg.
- DB John Boyett is in his second season with the Redblacks and has made 38 total tackles with an interception and two sacks in 11 games. Boyett picked up his first interception of the year on September 1 against Montreal.
