
Three Alumni Qualify for U.S. Amateur Championships

EUGENE, Ore. – Three University of Oregon men's golf team alumni Zach Foushee, Jack Dukeminier and Ryann Ree, qualified for the 2016 U.S. Amateur Championship on Monday.
The 36-hole sectional qualifier play, held at the Emerald Valley Golf Club in Creswell, Ore., decided the three openings as well as the alternates for the championship.
Both Ree and Dukeminier shot a 142 (-2) while Foushee fired 143 (-1). For the full results, click here.
His senior year, Foushee, West Linn, Ore. native, finished as high as sixth with an average of 73.42. Ree, who hails from Redondo Beach, Calif. finished within the top-five with 2-under par (214) at the Husky Invitational during the 2013-14 season. Portland, Ore. native, Dukeminier, was the 2010 NCAA Elite 88 Award winner and was an ESPN The Magazine All-American (3rd Team) selection. His senior season, he shot a 2-over 218 to finish 29th overall at the NCAA Regional.
The 2016 U.S. Amateur Championship will be held at the Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Township, Mich. From August 15-21.
