Lacrosse Picked Fourth In Inaugural Pac-12 Preseason Poll

SAN FRANCISCO. Calif. - The Oregon lacrosse team was chosen to finish fourth in the inaugural Pac-12 season, according to the preseason coaches poll released by the conference today.
The 2018 season will be the first year of Pac-12 lacrosse as it became the 13th women's sport that the Pac-12 sponsors.
USC was voted the preseason favorite to win the 2018 Conference title, garnering 25 points to finish at the top of the polling with five first-place votes. The Trojans have advanced to the NCAA quarterfinals in back-to-back seasons while claiming the MPSF conference title in 2016 and 2017.
Colorado was picked second with 21 points and one first place vote and Stanford finished third in the poll with 17 points. California (eight points) and Arizona State (six points) round out the top six.
The Ducks open the 2018 season against UC Davis Friday, Feb. 16, at 4 p.m. PT, with the inaugural Pac-12 conference season starting on March 9, against California.
