Eugene, Ore. – Oregon scored 10 runs in the final four innings to wrap up a series win with a 10-4 victory over FAU on Monday at PK Park.

How it happened: FAU (8-4) jumped out to an early lead with a pair of runs in the top of the first inning off Oregon (8-3) starter Cullen Kafka (2-0). Tyler Frank led off the game with a double before scoring on a Joe Montes triple. Pedro Pages drove in Montes to make it 2-0 later in the inning.

The Ducks rallied to take the lead with a five-run fifth inning. Ray Soderman tied the game with a two-RBI single scoring Jakob Goldfarb and Taylor Travess. After Evan Williams doubled Soderman to third, Kyle Kasser put the Ducks on top for good on an infield single, scoring Soderman. Jonny DeLuca followed with an RBI double off the top of the left-field wall before Goldfarb drew a bases-loaded walk to make it 5-2.

FAU got one back in both the top of the sixth and the top of the seventh to cut Oregon's lead to 5-4 before the Ducks rallied with three of their own in the bottom of the seventh. Kasser walked to lead off the inning, stole second and came around to score on a Gabe Matthews' single. Goldfarb was hit by a pitch to put runners on second, and Daniel Patzlaff delivered a pinch-hit two-RBI double to give the Ducks a 8-4 lead.

Oregon put the game away in the eighth with two more runs. After a hit by Soderman, a walk by Williams and a single by DeLuca loaded the bases, Steer doubled down the left-field line scoring two.

Duck notes: Kafka picked up his second win in a week allowing three runs on four hits with one walk and three strikeouts … He also got the win last Tuesday vs. Seattle … Soderman picked up his first two career RBI … Steer had two RBI for the second straight game … Spencer Steer turned in his team-leading fifth multiple-RBI game of the season and 13th of his career … Seven different Ducks drove in runs with Steer, Patzlaff and Soderman finishing with two each … Parker Kelly made his seventh appearance of the season pitching a scoreless seventh inning with a strikeout … Ryne Nelson pitched the final two scoreless innings striking out three.

On deck: The Ducks will open a four-game non-conference series with UC Davis on Thursday at 6 p.m. at PK Park.
