Ducks Earn No. 2 Seed For 2023 NCATA National Championships
04/17/23 | Acrobatics & Tumbling
EUGENE, Ore. — The Oregon acrobatics and tumbling team have been chosen as the No. 2 seed for the 2023 National Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling Association National Championships.
Â
The Ducks will open the tournament by taking on the seventh-seeded Frostburg State Bobcats in the opening round on Thursday, April 27, at 1:30 p.m. at West Liberty University in West Liberty, W.Va.
A win would send the Ducks into the semifinal for a matchup with No. 3 Azusa Pacific (which would be the third meeting of the year between the West Coast powerhouses) or sixth-seeded Limestone. Oregon has defeated APU by an average margin of 3.9875 in two wins this season. A showdown between the Ducks and Limestone would be the first for the programs.
Â
This will be Oregon's 12th consecutive appearance in the NCATA National Championships. The Ducks are looking to bring home their fifth national championship and build upon a total of 50 individual event titles over the past 11 seasons. Overall, Oregon is 18-7 at the NCATA National Championships.
