One of Oregon’s most decorated signees in several years, the SuperPrep Elite 50 pick ranked by the magazine as one of California’s top prep prospect as well as the nation’s second-best receiver by Rivals.com. The five-star standout was the top vote-getter and consensus No. 1 college recruit in the West among the Long Beach Press-Telegram’s Best in the West elite as well as the top choice on the Contra Costa Times’ Cream of the Crop list. Led the Big Valley League with 28 catches for 423 yards and six touchdowns despite playing in only seven of 13 games, with the program averaging only 13 pass attempts per game. Included was a season-high six receptions 120 yards and two TDs in CIF championship game vs. Pittsburg. Also grabbed six passes against Evangel Christian (La.) and in the first meeting against Pittsburg, converting three of them into the end zone in the latter appearance. Pulled down 14 receptions for 405 yards and four scores as a prep junior. Characterized as an explosive athlete with an unmatched understanding of the game, as well as possessing the speed to separate himself from defenders to complement his ability to run crisp routes.
