In fall, walked on squad early in season, and proved a pleasant surprise - capping year in team's sixth slot in her Pac-10 debut.
2002-03: Did not compete in spring track season. In fall, joined squaad the first week of October after running unattached in Northwest Cross Country Classic at Lane Community College in Eugene (first woman, 23rd overall, 5K 19:10) and Willamette Invitational (39th, 18:29). Soon after, her training was interrupted by a stress reaction in her leg, but still ran in two races for Ducks - Beaver Classic (second, 14:16) and Pac-10 Championships (58th, 23:13).
Prep: Local product out of Eugene's South High School and coached by former Duck coach John Gillespie and women's runner Jill Mestler. Three-time letterwinner in cross country and four-time honoree in track. Owned track bests of 2:25 (800), 4:56 (1,500) and 10:45 (3,000).
Personal: Her mother played field hockey at the University of Oregon. Born Eleanor Gordon on June 27, 1984 in Eugene, Ore. Major: Undeclared.
