Barney Holland
- Induction:
- 2003
- Class:
- 1954
The multiple-year letterman in football (1952, 53) and basketball (1951-52, 52-53, 53-54) was known for his hustle,
dedication and determination in both sports. Not only was he a play-maker, but he was known as a student of the
game with a style not typical with the way the sport had evolved up to that time. In basketball he was blessed with
sure hands and shooting ability, a quality that also carried over to the gridiron as a quarterback, where he was noted
for his quick release and hard, driving throw.
