Another of Oregon’s hallowed list of 27 sub four-minute milers, he ranked second for the Ducks when graduated
with his 3:56.3 effort that still ranks him fifth all-time for the Ducks and 67th in U.S. history. He finished second in the
mile in the 1967 NCAA Championships (4:06.2) and also won the Pacific-8 Conference crown in 1969 as a junior. He
helped the Ducks to the Pac-8 team crown in 1967 and second his last three seasons. In cross country he made one
NCAA appearance and finished 27th in 1969 as the Ducks finished third in the team race.
