Oregon-Wisconsin Quotes
11/29/09 | Women's Basketball
World Vision Invitational
Nov. 28, 2009 – Eugene, OR – McArthur Court
Oregon 57, Wisconsin 58
Oregon Head Coach Paul Westhead
On the game play:
“Wasn't our style of game. With a game in the 50's you're going to be vulnerable to good play bad play.”
On last play:
“I thought we were in good position. I thought we had had too much time. We were more than willing to give a foul, perfect storm. Very good pass in, didn't get a chance to foul.”
On fatigue:
“I didn't see it as recognizable because of the pace of the game. I think Wisconsin did a good job containing our press. We needed to force more turnovers.”
Overall:
“Offensively, we didn't knock down some shots that we needed to make in order to get running.”
“We need to run the ball better. We were playing Wisconsin style basketball, but we allowed it.”
'Whoever the opponent is we need to exert our running game upon them. Tonight the pace of the game was not what we would have liked.”
#11 Amanda Johnson
On disappointment:
“You want to have a game after a loss like that. Wisconsin did a really good job. We didn't really have a chance to get out and run and break them down.”
On Offensive struggles:
“We didn't shoot very well and didn't do as good a job on the offensive glass. When we're not rebounding it puts more pressure on our shooters.”
