Head Coach Paul Westhead
On the game:
It was a nice turnaround for the team; we wanted to get back on the court after yesterday's game so it was good to play today. The team showed some feistiness today, which helps us get through the tough games. We did a reasonably good job today, we ran the fast break well and made good shots, we had a more fluid rotation with players today. This game was a step in the right direction.
On Kristi Fallin:
She did a nice job; she played up to her reputation as a shooter by making great shots. We programmed her as a shooter, and today she was the designated shooter, and she did that well today. I was very happy for her, her shooting was extraordinary today.
On what needs improvement:
It was a nice team win, but we know we can get better. We can be better on our defensive rebounding so we can generate the fast break. Were a decent shooting team, which means we need to be a better than average offensive rebounding team.
Senior Guard Kristi Fallin
On the game:
I had to wait for my time and come off the bench and shoot and show what I have.
On battling injuries:
I was down from my injuries, and I was having trouble staying positive, but I had to keep working hard and supporting my team.
On what she can improve on:
I can't be satisfied with anything. I have to keep working and keep shooting. I need to work on my defense and get in better condition. I have to keep improving and working hard because Pac-10 play is right around the corner.
On being a shooter:
Coach kept saying, 'you're a shooter, shoot the ball.' He gets mad when I hesitate and don't shoot the ball when I'm open because he knows I'm a shooter.
