Quotes:
Kathleen Scavo, Sophomore
"After working hard to improve, it was gratifying to see my game start to come together. I really strived to stay present, positive and patient through all 36 holes, and made a conscious effort to stay relaxed, have fun and enjoy the opportunity to play golf with my awesome teammates. I hope to maintain the same focus and confidence going into the final round tomorrow."
Ria Scott, Head Coach
On Scavo…
"Kathleen was really confident and decisive on her shots today. She has worked incredibly hard on her golf game over the past year and anyone that has seen her work knows she is due to put some good scores together."
"Laura (Cilek) and I both noticed that her putting pace was exceptional. Nanea is a golf course where that can be challenging, and she really had that down today. We're looking forward to her continued good play tomorrow."
On the team's performance…
"Our players are a lot closer to playing great golf than our scores indicated this afternoon. I saw a lot of quality golf shots. We were definitely challenged by the wind and increasing firmness of the greens. We anticipate them making adjustments tomorrow morning and finishing the fall season on a good note."
Up Next: The Ducks will play their final round of the fall season on Tuesday in Kailua Kona before taking a few months off until their spring season begins in February.
