Shweta Sangwan and Julia Eshet will compete in the semifinals of the ITA Northwest Regional after a dominant performance on Sunday
STANFORD, Calif. - Shweta Sangwan and Julia Eshet will compete in the semifinals of the ITA Northwest Regional after notching back-to-back wins on Sunday.
How It Happened: As the No. 2 doubles team in the draw, Sangwan and Eshet are living up to their ranking.
In the round of 16 this morning, the pair faced Miyo Kobayashi and Savannah Sendar of San Jose State where they won, 8-2.Â
Later in the afternoon, Sangwan and Eshet took the court for quarterfinals. The duo played their closest match of the tournament, but still pulled out a victory over Stanford's Sara Choy and Emma Higuchi, 8-6.Â
Up Next: Sangwan and Eshet will compete in the semifinals of the regional tomorrow at 1 p.m. PT against Anna Bright and Jasie Dunk of Cal.Â
