No. 3 Ducks Roll vs. UC Riverside

MORAGA, Calif. – The No. 3 Oregon women's basketball team opened the Saint Mary's Thanksgiving Classic with a 94-44 win over UC Riverside on Friday afternoon at McKeon Pavilion.
The Ducks (5-0) shot 60.7 percent from the floor and 46.7 percent from three while converting 16 UC Riverside turnovers in 31 points.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Oregon opened the game on 9-0 run, keyed by a smothering blocked shot by Erin Boley and a steal and score by Satou Sabally. The Ducks led UC Riverside, 23-11, at the end of the first. Oregon shot 56.3 percent from the floor in the opening 10 minutes while Sabally had a team-high seven points.
The Ducks started the second quarter on a 12-0 run, including a pair of three-pointers by Sabrina Ionescu and a pair of Ruthy Hebard jumpers. At one point in the second quarter, Hebard had 16 points while the Ducks were leading UC Riverside, 48-16. Oregon eventually took a 52-18 lead into the halftime break, with Hebard's 16 points and Ionescu's 11 points leading the way. Oregon was 22-of-36 (61.1 percent) shooting in the first half, including 6-of-15 from three.
The Ducks opened the third on another run, this time 8-0, featuring a pair of Sabally three-pointers. Oregon led the Highlanders, 77-31, at the end of the third after shooting 9-of-12 in the quarter, including 4-of-6 from three. Hebard had a team-high 19 points at the end of the third while Sabally had 17 points.
Oregon cruised to a 94-44 win after outscoring the Highlanders 17-13 in the fourth.
BOX SCORE: Oregon knocked down a season-high 14 three-pointers but the Ducks have made 10+ threes in all but one game this year…The Ducks had five players in double figures scoring, led by Hebard's 19 points while Ionescu had 16 points to go with seven rebounds and six assists…Oregon attempted only eight free throws after entering the game averaging 27.3 attempts over its first four games.
