Ducks Set to Close Fall at Pac-12 Preview

EUGENE, Ore. - With a pair of runner-up finishes and another top-five showing under their belt, the No. 15 ranked Ducks will look to cap a strong fall season at the Pac-12 Preview beginning on Monday at Nanea Golf Club (Par 73, 6,372 yards) in Kona, Hawaii. The tournament will feature three rounds of stroke play over three days, with the event coming to a close on Wednesday.

The Field
Oregon will take on the entire Pac-12 Conference as well as the University of Hawaii. The No. 15 Ducks are one of six ranked teams in the league, along with No. 1 Stanford, No. 3 Arizona State, No. 5 USC, No. 8 Arizona and No. 20 UCLA.

» Tze-Han (Heather) Lin was the co-champion at the Pac-12 Preview last season as a true freshman, shooting a 6-under 213 to lead the Ducks to a fifth place showing.
» Oregon's best ever finish at the Pac-12 Preview came in 2016-17 when the Ducks placed fourth.
» At the 2013-14 Pac-12 Preview, Oregon recorded the second-best round in program history with a 10-under 282.

UO Ties For Fifth at Loaded Stanford Invite
» The Ducks finished 4 over to tie for fifth place amidst a field that featured nine nationally ranked teams.
» Junior Alexis Phadungmartvorakul and sophomore Tze-Han (Heather) Lin both shot 2 under to tie for eighth place on the individual leaderboard.
» Freshman Sofie Kibsgaard Nielsen (T16th) carded a 5-under 66 in the second round, the sixth-best round in program history and lowest by a freshman since Phadungmartvorakul shot a 64 in 2017-18.
» Oregon's 6-under 278 in the second round gave the Ducks a three-shot lead through 36 holes before carding a 296 in the final round.

Ducks Finish Runner-Up at the Molly Invite
» Oregon finished in second place at 22 over, led by a trio of individuals who placed in the top 15.
» Freshman Briana Chacon came in tied for fifth in just her second collegiate event, shooting a 1-over 73 in all three rounds end the event 3 over.
» Senior Amy Matsuoka finished 12th at 7 over while freshman Sofie Kibsgaard Nielsen came in tied for 13th for the second event in a row to start her Oregon career.
» Sophomore Tze-Han Lin came in tied for 20th and freshman Ching-Tzu Chen was tied for 22nd, highlighted by a bogey-free 4-under 67 in round two.

Fall Opener in Pullman
» The Ducks started their 2019 fall schedule with a second place showing at the WSU Cougar Cup.
» Sophomore Tze-Han (Heather) Lin led the Ducks individually, taking fifth at 5 under over three rounds (70-71-70).
» Freshman Sofie Kibsgaard Nielsen, senior Amy Matsuoka and freshman Ching-Tzu Chen also finished in the top 20 in Pullman.

Reloading, Not Rebuilding
» After graduating star seniors Petra Salko and Kathleen Scavo, head coach Derek Radley filled his roster with three talented freshman.
