02/14/19 | Women's Golf
EUGENE, Ore. - Freshman Tze-Han Lin was included in the top-25 of the Arnold Palmer Cup Rankings, the tournament announced on Thursday.
Lin tied for first at the Pac-12 Preview in Hawaii to close out the fall schedule. She finished the fall season with a team-low 71.0 average and shot under par on both par-3s and par-5s over 11 fall rounds.
At the end of the season, the top six male and female international collegiate players and the top six male and female American collegiate players, along with 24 more at-large picks, will compete at the Palmer Cup June 7-9 at the Alotian Club in Arkansas.
The Arnold Palmer Cup was co-founded by Arnold Palmer and The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) and began at the Bay Hill Club & Lodge, Orlando, Fla. in 1997. The event is a Ryder Cup-style tournament featuring the top men's and women's university/college golfers matching the United States against a team of International players. The Arnold Palmer Cup has been played at some of the world's greatest courses including The Old Course, The Royal County Down, Royal Portrush, Baltusrol, The Honors Course and Cherry Hills.

Using Golfstat's NCAA rankings as a base, the Arnold Palmer Cup ranking awards bonus points for wins and high finishes and a penalty for poor finishes. The ranking also contains a strength of schedule component.
The remaining six men's and women's spots for the United States will consist of five committee selections, including at least one non-Division I golfer, and a coaches pick. The balance of the International team will include the men's and women's winners of The R&A Scholars Tournament, four committee selections, and a coaches pick.
The next Arnold Palmer Cup Ranking will be announced February 28.
