Salko Leads Ducks on Day One in Tucson

TUCSON, Ariz. - Petra Salko had two strong rounds on the opening day of The Wildcat and the senior sits in third going to Tuesday's final round.
As a team, the Ducks are in fourth place at 20-over 599 through two rounds. Under first-year head coach Derek Radley, Oregon is looking for a third top-5 finish to start the spring season.
Salko shot a 2-under 70 in the first round of the day on Monday and then was 2-over 74 in the second round. At even par for the tournament, Salko is in third place behind UNLV's Elizabeth Prior and Arizona State's Alessandra Fanali.
Amy Matsuoka, who's had a fantastic start to the spring season, was 2-over in the first round and 4-over in the second round. She's tied for 18th going to tomorrow's third round at 6-over.
Tze-Han Lin started strong on Monday with a 1-over 73 but struggled in the second round of the game. The freshman is in tied for 31st at 8-over. Senior Kathleen Scavo is tied for 24th at 8-over while Alexis Phadungmartvorakul is tied for 80th at 19-over.
