The Oregon women's tennis team added to it's 2019 class on Wednesday with the signing of Uxia Martinez Moral, announced head coach Courtney Nagle. Martinez Moral will join Lilly Mould of Great Britain for the Ducks' 2019 fall season.

"We are extremely excited to welcome Uxia into the Oregon family," said Nagle. "She is an incredible competitor with a great love for the game and a desire to work hard to improve on and off the court." 

Martinez Moral boasts some impressive credentials as she travels from A Coruña, Spain to Eugene, Ore. Most recently, Martinez Moral has won the U18 Galician Championship in both 2018 and 2019. This coupled with placing second at the 2018 ITF Junior Vila do Conde earned her the title of best Galician player in 2018. 

Martinez Moral also experienced immense success in 2017. In singles, the Spaniard became U16 Tennis European Champion in Sanxenxo, while in doubles she claimed both the U16 Apple Bowl title and Spanish championship title. 

"We can't wait for her college tennis career to begin," Nagle said. "And we are thrilled to coach her."
