Oregon Signs Minyon Moore
05/28/19 | Women's Basketball
EUGENE, Ore. - Oregon women's basketball head coach Kelly Graves has announced the signing of transfer guard Minyon Moore.
After graduating from USC in three years, Moore will join the Ducks as a graduate transfer for the 2019-20 season. She will not have to sit out a year.
Moore played in 89 games while making 63 starts in her USC career. She averaged double figures in scoring each of her three seasons with the Women of Troy, including a career-best 14.8 points per game last season.
Moore, a 5-foot-8 guard, was named to the Pac-12 all-defensive team as both a sophomore and junior after being a Pac-12 all-freshman pick in her rookie year. Moore owns 221 career steals, which would be the third most in UO history. She was named honorable mention all-Pac-12 plus honorable mention Pac-12 all-academic last season.
Last year Moore averaged 14.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game. She led the Women of Troy in total points, rebounds, assists and ranked second in the Pac-12 with 74 steals.
Moore's addition gives the Ducks 12 players for the 2019-20 season. Moore joins Sabrina Ionescu and Ruthy Hebard as seniors, along with juniors Satou Sabally, Morgan Yaeger, Erin Boley and Lydia Giomi.
Next year's roster will also boast sophomore Taylor Chavez and redshirt freshman Nyara Sabally plus incoming freshmen Lucy Cochrane, Jaz Shelley and Holly Winterburn.
