01/23/20

EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon baseball and softball programs are teaming up to host a combined Fan Day on Saturday, Feb. 1, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. inside the Moshofsky Center.

Admission to the inaugural event is free with the teams combining to offer fans the opportunity to meet and interact with players and coaches from both programs.

"It's a great way to not only kick off our season, but to have the opportunity to meet members of the community and tell them thank you," Oregon baseball coach Mark Wasikowski said. "One of our primary goals as a program is to be deeply involved in our community, especially with youth sports leagues. Fan Day is a perfect way to spend time getting to know each other."

"We are excited to have the opportunity to interact with our fans and the community to help kick off the season," Oregon softball coach Melyssa Lombardi added. "It gives us a chance to strengthen the ties between our program and our community while bringing together the fan bases of both programs."

Fan Day will also offer season ticket holders for both sports the opportunity to pick up their tickets, while non-season ticket holders can purchase tickets to both baseball and softball.
