SAN JOSE, Calif. – Oregon battled all the way to the finish, but ultimately fell to Ottawa University – Arizona, 3-2, Saturday in the finale of the opening weekend event at San Jose State. Ally Haden and Savannah Siegrist picked up one of two Oregon wins to finish the weekend a perfect 3-0 in their matches.

How it Happened: Siegrist and Haden picked up a sweep in their match at the no. 3 spot, winning 21-14, 22-20 against Katia Dizon and Abbey Willison. Zoe Almanza and Anastasia Lima earned the other Oregon victory with a dominating 21-11, 21-12 win over Ashleigh Atsaros and Katlelyn Viray at the no. 4 spot.

The Ducks dropped a pair of tightly-contested three-set matches, as Carly Wallace and Madelyn Lafollette fell 21-11, 18-21, 15-13, and Elise Ferreira and Mia Lopez lost their match at the no. 5 spot, 15-21, 21-7, 15-6.
