Ducks Fall to Pair of Ranked Teams in LA

LOS ANGELES – Oregon closed out play against a pair of ranked Pac-12 teams with a 4-1 loss to No. 19 Stanford and a 5-0 loss at No. 2 UCLA Sunday in matches in Santa Monica and at the Mapes Beach Courts.
How it Happened: Ferreira and Hansen picked up a win on court No. 5 with a 21-17, 21-16 sweep of Stanford's Natalie Berty and Chelsea Red-Horse. The pair improved to 3-0 together on the season, with all three of their wins coming in the No. 5 spot.
The Ducks dropped their other four matches to the Cardinal in straight sets before falling, 5-0, to No. 2 UCLA. Anastasia Lima and Zoe Almanza dropped a tightly-contested first set at the No. 4 court, 23-21, to Rileigh Powers and Jaden Whitmarsh before falling in the second set, 21-6.
