Ten UO athletics programs were represented on the Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll, which was released Monday.
Ten teams and 46 athletes from the UO athletic department were honored Monday as members of the Pac-12 Conference's Spring Academic Honor Roll.
The coronavirus pandemic cut short their spring athletic seasons and took the academic term online, but the 46 different Ducks honored Monday didn't let that derail their progress academically. The track and field program had 22 athletes honored, including 15 from the women's team, and lacrosse was represented by eight honor roll members.
Rather than select separate all-academic teams for each sport, the conference has moved to the "academic honor roll" format, which recognizes all student-athletes throughout the Pac-12 who have maintained a 3.3 grade-point average while their sport is in season. Student-athletes must have maintained at least one year of residence at their institution to qualify.
The UO student-athletes honored Monday were:
Baseball: Keaton Chase, Sam Novitske, Aaron Zavala
Softball: Allee Bunker
Men's golf: Tom Gueant, Tom Parker, Craig Ronne
Women's golf: Tze-Han (Heather) Lin, Amy Matsuoka, Bella Setio
