EUGENE, Ore. — Oregon women's golf head coach Derek Radley officially announced the addition of Karen Tsuru to the Ducks' 2023 signing class on Thursday.
Tsuru is regarded as the No. 11 player in the class of 2023 by Golfweek. Her signing comes a day after Radley inked Kiara Romero, Golfweek's No. 1 ranked player in the class.
"Karen is a wonderful young lady who dominated the Toyota Tour Cup circuit early on in her junior career," Radley said. "She is an extremely talented ball striker and is going to fit perfectly into our culture both in the classroom and on the course."
A native of Carlsbad, Calif., Tsuru was the individual medalist at the 2022 Ping An Bank Junior Championship in August, winning with a final scorecard of 68-72-69.
Tsuru has competed in nine American Junior Golf Association events in 2022, posting six top-25 finishes with three in the top 15. Most recently, she tied for 22nd overall at The PING Invitational in October.
