Lu, Chacon Advance To Final Round At Augusta National

AUGUSTA, Ga. — Oregon women's golf all-Americans Hsin-Yu (Cynthia) Lu and Briana Chacon will both play at Augusta National Golf Course on Saturday after making the cut and advancing to the final round of the Augusta National Women's Amateur.
The duo played the first two rounds of the prestigious event at Champions Retreat Golf Club on Wednesday and Thursday, finishing inside the top 30 to move on to Saturday's final round at the famous Augusta National. All players will play a practice round at Augusta National on Friday, before the 30 players who made the cut compete in the final round on Saturday.
Lu is tied for fourth at 3-under par through two rounds, shooting a 1-under 71 on Wednesday and following that up with a 2-under 70 on Thursday.
Chacon is tied for 21st after 36 holes, sitting at 1-over par overall. The senior matched Lu with a 1-under 71 on Wednesday before finishing with a 2-over 74 in round two.
Stanford's Rose Zhang, the reigning NCAA individual champion and top-ranked amateur in the world, leads the field at 11-under par.
Saturday's final round will be broadcast on NBC from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. PT.
