Oregon Begins Weekend Trek with Cal

Eugene, Ore. - The Ducks kick off their final stretch of Pac-12 games on the road this season with a Friday matchup against Cal.
Oregon (5-8, 1-6 Pac-12) has won two of its last three contests, including its first win in conference play against Arizona State. Three of the Ducks' last four games have been decided by one goal with two separate overtime matches.

THE DUCKS vs. THE GOLDEN BEARS
Oregon kicks off a three-game road stint to end the regular season with a matchup against California .In the previous meeting between the sides, the Golden Bears earned the first Pac-12 win for head coach Jennifer Wong in a 13-12 decision at Papé Field. Senior Alyssa Wright had a team-leading five points (3 goals, 2 assists) in the defeat. Wong is 4-10 (1-6 Pac-12) thus far in her first season at the helm.
DUCKS STUMBLE AGAINST THE TROJANS
For the second time this season, the Oregon attack struggled to gain any serious offensive momentum against No. 20 USC. The Ducks scored first and held a 2-1 advantage 21 minutes into the contest, but a 5-0 run by the Trojans left Oregon without an answer. Sophomore Gabby Cleveland scored her fifth hat trick of the season after scoring all three goals in the second half.
» Morgan McCarthy extended her goal-scoring streak to 24 games on Sunday with her 50th goal in the stretch.
» Graduate transfer Margot Hotham caused four turnovers for the second consecutive game, the first time in her career.

The Pennsylvania native leads the team in ground balls (23) and caused turnovers (16). The defender secured her first career game with multiple draw controls against Colorado, matched a career-high with six ground balls against UC Davis and caused a career-best four turnovers in the win over Arizona State, matching that output against No. 20 USC.
» Senior Lexie Likins has started every game and has the third most starts among active Ducks with 33. The captain scooped up a career-best five ground balls on Feb. 26, against Kennesaw State and is tied for second on the team with 17.
» Graduate transfer Maggie Flynn has gotten the starting nod in six games for the Ducks. Flynn was a second-team All-Atlantic 10 selection and team captain after starting 32 games at Duquesne. The Pennsylvania native caused three turnovers in the Ducks' previous two wins.

The Oregon offense has emphasized versatility throughout the 2023 season. The Ducks have received production from all across the roster, with 14 players scoring a goal and 13 recording an assist.
