Seven Ducks earn ITA Scholar Athlete Awards
EUGENE, Ore. – The 2022-23 men's tennis team has been named an ITA All-Academic Team, the ITA announced today.
The entire team must combine for a grade-point average of at least 3.2 or above for the entire academic year to earn the distinction.
In addition, seven individuals earned ITA Scholar Athlete honors. This requirement is a bit stricter at a 3.5 or above GPA requirement for the 2022-23 school year. Seniors Ivailo Keremedchiev, Jesper Klov-Nilsson and Luke Vandecasteele led the way for the Ducks, while transfer Ray Lo and freshmen Vlad Breazu and Russell Soohoo also received the honor.
To cap the academic award season, Klov-Nilsson, Luke Vandecasteele, and Quinn Vandecasteele were named to the Pac-12 spring Academic Honor Roll. Student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.3 or above and have served at least one year in residence at the institution.
