Ducks Show Off Depth in Exhibition
11/01/24 | Women's Basketball
EUGENE, Ore. — Elisa Mevius scored a game-high 18 points to go with 11 steals as the Oregon women's basketball team won an exhibition game against Warner Pacific on Friday, 110-21, in Matthew Knight Arena.
All 14 Ducks that played in the game scored, with four finishing in double figures, including freshmen Katie Fiso (15) and Ehis Etute (14), with transfer Amina Muhammad adding 10 points. Eight newcomers to this year's team combined for 83 of UO's 110 points.

"We've got a lot of really good players," UO head coach Kelly Graves said. "There's only so many minutes so it's made the competition at practice really good; iron sharpens iron. They're really working hard in practice, and it shows up out here. The chemistry's been great so far."
Mevius shot 9-for-10 from floor while adding four assists and two rebounds. Fiso connected on 7-of-9 field goals and scored 10 of her 15 in the first half, and Etute led the Ducks with eight rebounds while going 7-of-8 from the field.
Overall, the Ducks shot 58 percent from the field, but went just 6-of-24 from behind the 3-point line. Defensively, Oregon forced 44 turnovers, largely due to 37 steals on the night.
"We were in the right place at the right time, defensively," added Graves. "We were pretty sound."

The Ducks officially begin their 2024-25 season on Monday, Nov. 4 against California Baptist. Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. PT, with the game streaming on B1G+.
