Spring Season Continues at The Prestige

EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon men's golf team will play its second tournament of the spring season beginning on Monday at The Prestige in La Quinta, Calif. The 54-hole event will be held at the Greg Norman Course at PGA WEST – a par-71, 7,185-yard track – through Wednesday with live scoring available on Scoreboard Live. The Ducks will tee off on No. 10 starting at 11:55 a.m.
The Ducks opened the spring season in style by placing fifth in the loaded field at the Amer Ari Intercollegiate, finishing with a 48-under par 816. UO's stellar finish marked the lowest score to par in program history and the third-lowest total. UO combined to card 74 birdies and six eagles and finished the tournament with a 4.37 (-37) par-5 scoring average as three Ducks logged top-25 finishes.
Oregon finished tied for 14th last season at The Prestige. Hugh Adams led the Ducks with a 2-under 211 while Aiden Krafft carded a pair of sub-70 rounds.

Four starters from the spring season opener return to the lineup:
1) Eric Doyle (Sr.) – Back-to-back top-5 finishes, finishing fifth at the Amer Ari Intercollegiate (199, -17).
2) Aiden Krafft (Jr.) – Medaled at the Sahalee Players Championship at -4 (212).
3) Greyson Leach (Sr.) – T6 at Sahalee Players Championship at -1 (215).
4) Tim Chang (Fr.) – Carded three under-par rounds at the Amer Ari Intercollegiate.
5) Jay Gould-Healy (Jr.) – Finished T10 at The Preserve and posted a career-low 67 (-5).

» Leading the way for the Ducks in each of the last two events has been Eric Doyle, who has tallied back-to-back top-five finishes. Doyle posted a career-low 199 (-17) at the Amer Ari Intercollegiate that included a 9-under 63 in the opening round, spurring a fifth-place result individually. He became just the sixth UO golfer in program history to shoot under 200 in a 54-hole tournament and the first to do so on a par-72 course, and his Day 1 score was the fifth lowest by a Duck and the second-lowest score to par.
» The Ducks clock in at No. 35 nationally in the latest poll, the fourth-highest-ranked team in the Big Ten. Aiden Krafft (70.93), Greyson Leach (71.07) and Eric Doyle (70.47) lead the way for the Ducks in scoring average through five tournaments this year and have combined for 150 birdies and six eagles in 2024-25.
» Aiden Krafft kicked off his 2024-25 season with his first collegiate victory at the Sahalee Players Championship. The junior shot a 4-under 212 over a challenging two days at Sahalee, leading the field in par-5 scoring average (4.33, -8) and tying for second in total birdies (12). The result marked both Krafft's first career top-20 and top-10 finish.
» Greyson Leach ranks sixth in program history with a 71.88 career scoring average after carding seven rounds under par so far this season, while Aiden Krafft has moved up to ninth with a 72.10 career mark. Norman Xiong holds the Oregon team record at 69.05.
» Greyson Leach and Eric Doyle both rank in the top 50 in the latest PGA TOUR University rankings. Leach sits at No. 35, the sixth-highest ranked golfer in the Big Ten in the standings, while Doyle climbed 17 spots - the most among all 172 qualified players - following last week's impressive performance and sits at No. 49.
