Neville Named To Golden Spikes Midseason Watch List

EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon centerfielder Mason Neville is one of 45 players named to the Golden Spikes Award watch list by USA Baseball today.
The Golden Spikes Award honors the best amateur baseball player in the nation. Neville is the sixth Oregon baseball player all time to be named to the midseason watch list joining Jimmie Sherfy (2013), Ryan Healy (2013), Stephen Nogosek (2016), David Peterson (2017) and Kenyon Yovan (2021).
Neville (Las Vegas, Nev. / Basic HS), is batting .308 (32-for-104) with 20 extra-base hits, 26 RBI and 34 runs scored. Heading into the week, he ranked in a tie for 11th in the country in home runs with 12 while slugging .731. His 24 base on balls leads the team while his .731 on-base percentage ranks second. The Ducks' centerfielder also has eight doubles, a team-best seven stolen bases, 13 multiple-hit games and seven multi-RBI games.
In the Big Ten, Neville ranks in a tie for fourth in homer runs, one behind the league leaders, while checking in at eighth in runs scored, 10th in slugging percentage, total bases and walks, 13th in OPS and 18th in doubles.
