Second Ranked Win in Program History

Oregon beat No. 19 Georgia State, 4-1, at the Cactus Classic in Tucson, Ariz.
TUCSON, Ariz. – The Oregon beach volleyball team beat No. 19 Georgia State to close out day one of the Cactus Classic in Tucson, Ariz. The Ducks' 4-1 result marks the program's second-ever win over a ranked team, and first since a victory over then-No. 17 Arizona in 2022.
Overall, the Ducks split their two matches Friday and are now 4-3 this season.
Match 5: #17 Grand Canyon 4, Oregon 1
The Ducks salvaged a point against the 17th-ranked Lopes with Daley McClellan and Elsa Snipes posting a straight-set win at No. 2 pairs. The duo came away with a tight, extended opener before pulling away for the 26-24, 21-12 decision over Youna Coens and Katie Keefe.
With the victory, McClellan moved into sole possession of seventh place on the program's all-time wins list. The Canby, Ore., native is up to 26 career wins.

The Ducks jumped out to a 2-0 lead with dual wins at No. 3 and 4 pairs, respectively. The 19th-ranked Panthers got on the board with a victory at the top of the lineup. Oregon was up 2-1 with courts two and five going to a third set.
The team won both three setters with Natasha George and Katrena Koellner securing the upset with their 21-11, 16-21, 15-12 win at the No. 5 spot in the lineup. McClellan and Snipes picked up another win at 2s to grab the Ducks' fourth point.
