Ducks Conclude Day One at Amer Ari

KOHALA COAST, Hawaii – The Oregon men's golf team concluded the first round of action at the Amer Ari Intercollegiate on Thursday. A trio of Ducks remain under par after the first 18 holes at Mauna Lani Golf Course, with junior Ramil Saelim leading the Oregon lineup.
How It Happened
Saelim carded the Ducks' best round of the day with a 4-under 68, his second sub-70s round this year. The junior tallied six birdies on the day, including two to finish out the round and sits at 28 on the leaderboard after the first day of play.
Casper Nerpin ended the day a stroke under par his shooting his first two eagles of the year. Nerpin is the only Duck this season to have multiple eagles in a round and is one of two players with two eagles after the first round.
Teddy Vigna showed promise in his collegiate debut, carding three birdies and just one bogey to finish with a 2-under 70 as an individual.
Tim Chang and Sebastian Desoisa each had even rounds to make up the rest of Oregon's counting scores. Desoisa carded three birdies while Chang had a pair to make par. Oscar Lent rounded out the lineup for the Ducks with a pair of birdies to finish 4-over 76.
