Ducks Beat CSUN in Weekend Finale

Oregon hosts a Senior Day doubleheader next Friday, March 20, against Portland.
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – The Oregon beach volleyball team earned a split of two matches Saturday at the Mustang Roundup in San Luis Obispo, Calif. The Ducks are now 7-10 this season. After falling to host and fourth-ranked Cal Poly in its first match of the day, Oregon responded with the program's first-ever win over CSUN.
The Matadors got on the board first with a win at No. 5 pairs but the Ducks scored the next three points beginning with a straight-set win at the top of the lineup by Liz Rossi and AJ Slojkowski. The duo of Daley McClellan and Elsa Snipes followed with a 21-19, 21-12 win on court two to push the team's lead to 2-1.
At No. 4 pairs, Hanna Bjornson and Sofia Taylor rallied from a set down for a 18-21, 21-16, 15-13 win to secure the third point and clinch the dual victory. Bjornson and Taylor also clinched Friday's win against UC Davis.
