O Show Nominees: Emerald Award

The UO athletic department will hold its annual awards banquet on Tuesday, June 2.
On Tuesday, June 2, the UO athletic department will stage the annual O Show, a traditional end-of-year celebration of the accomplishments of Oregon student-athletes both in athletics and academics.
Nominations for the various awards to be handed out Tuesday were made through the coaching staffs and academic advisors of all teams, with the award winners selected through a vote of student-athletes and department staff. There are also awards for coaches, faculty and support staff who go above and beyond to provide an exceptional student-athlete experience.
Due to the timing of the show, accomplishments from the beginning of May 2025 through the end of April 2026 are considered for the honors.
In the days leading up to the show, we'll preview some of the awards to be handed out Tuesday
Today's category: The Emerald Award, presented to the outstanding graduating senior male athlete.
And the nominees are …
KEITHIAN "BEAR" ALEXANDER, Football
Carried a 3.75 GPA at the University of Oregon — the highest among Emerald Award nominees — while playing on the defensive line for the Ducks. Logged 1.5 community service hours during the academic year alongside his contributions to the 13-2 College Football Playoff semifinalist team.
MATTI ERICKSON, Men's Track & Field
Carried a 3.6 GPA at the University of Oregon while training and competing for the 2026 Big Ten Indoor champion Men of Oregon. Combines academic consistency with discipline as a member of one of the country's deepest event groups.
PIERRE MOUESCA, Men's Tennis
Carried a 2.95 GPA at the University of Oregon while competing for Oregon men's tennis. Logged 6.5 community service hours and nine SAAC engagements during the academic year — the deepest citizenship portfolio among Emerald Award nominees.
IAN UMLANDT, Baseball
Carried a 3.08 GPA at the University of Oregon while contributing on the diamond for the Ducks. Logged four community service hours and one SAAC engagement during the academic year.
