The athletic department held its annual awards banquet on Tuesday.
Oregon athletics celebrated a year of outstanding achievement Tuesday night, when the department held its annual "O Show" awards banquet in downtown Eugene.
Awards for accomplishments from May 2025 through April 2026 were celebrated, with women's track and field taking home the award for top team. While the program's 2025-26 "triple crown" of Big Ten titles in cross country, indoor track and field and outdoor track and field didn't technically fit within the 12-month criteria for this year's O Show, it was no matter — those Ducks also won the 2025 Big Ten outdoor title to give them a triple crown within the year-long period under consideration.

Women's track and field also produced the Jackson Award winner as the top senior female student-athlete for athletics, academics and community service, with sprinter Lily Jones taking home that award. And Liisa-Maria Lusti was named freshman of the year after winning the NCAA indoor title in the pentathlon.
Bear Alexander of UO football won the Emerald Award as the top senior male student-athlete. Kiara Romero was named female athlete of the year for her third straight all-America campaign with women's golf, and Peyton Bair was named male athlete of the year for winning the NCAA indoor title in the heptathlon.
Acrobatics and tumbling also was well represented. Makenna Guidish won the Doyle Higdon Memorial Award as the department's outstanding sophomore, and Blessyn McMorris was given the Herb Yamanaka Oregon Pride Award for her contributions on and off the mat.

Katie Clute from track and field and Casper Nerpin of men's golf earned the Jaqua Award as the seniors with the top grade-point averages.
Katie Shields from lacrosse earned the O Heroes Award with over 30 hours of community service over the previous year, and teammate Lyla Hurley was named comeback player of the year after earning a starting role in the spring following a major surgery last summer. Nick Hattrup, the associate director of athletic medicine who works with Hurley and the lacrosse team, took home the SAAC Staff Award for his contributions to the department.
The SAAC Faculty Award was bestowed upon Mary Savage, a professor of accounting in the Lundquist College of Business.
