Wrestling Pac-10 Championships Seedings

TEMPE, Ariz. ?
The brackets for the 2004 Pac-10 Wrestling Championships were released today for the event that runs Sunday, February 29 through Monday, March 1. The tournament will serve as a qualifier for the 2004 NCAA Championships (March 18-20 in St. Louis, Mo.). The Top 3 finishers at each weight class will advance to the national meet with the remaining 11 qualifiers from the conference being awarded as ?wild card’ selections as selected by the conference coaches at the conclusion of the championships.
Oregon has three wrestlers in the top four in their individual weight class. Jason Harless at 133 is seeded No. 4, Joey Bracamonte at 157 is seeded No. 4 and Luke Larwin at 165 is seeded No. 3.
There was a change in the 285 bracket, as Oregon’s Chris Dearmon was added to the bracket. He will compete against Eric Mustoe of Portland State and the winner will wrestle No. 1 seed Jacob McGinnis of Boise State during session one of the tournament. There will also be a change in the 197 bracket but there is no information as of right now. It will be posted as soon as it becomes available. The Ducks will begin competition in the Pac-10 tournament Sun. starting at 10 am (PT) and the day will conclude at 8 pm (PT).
