UO Men?s Golf Returns to Action in So. California

EUGENE, Ore. ? The Oregon men’s golf team will compete in its third tournament of the spring Monday and Tuesday at the 27th annual Cleveland Golf Collegiate Invitational in Westlake Village, Calif. Eight of the nation’s top 25 teams will be in competition at the 6,815-yard, par-71 North Ranch Country Club course.
Oregon will send seniors Mike Sica and Jimmy White (Eugene/South Eugene), sophomores Gregg LaVoie and Justin St.Clair (Springfield/Thurston) and freshman Matt Ma to the tournament.
The Ducks will compete against No. 3 UCLA, No. 7 Texas Christian, No. 8 Arizona State, No. 11 Texas, No. 13 Arkansas, No. 15 California, No. 20 Brigham Young and No. 21 Illinois, in addition to unranked Alabama, Notre Dame, Oregon State, Pepperdine, Stanford, Tennessee, USC and Washington.
Last year, the Ducks shot an 875 to finish tied for 13th at the 2003 Cleveland Golf Collegiate.
