The SuperPrep and PrepStar All-American was ranked among the top 15 running backs in the country by SuperPrep magazine as well as one of the top two from California for a program that finished 2003 with a 9-4 record. The state’s 17th-rated prep prospect and Long Beach Press-Telegram Best in the West honorable mention candidate was named on more ballots connected with the latter newspaper’s elite poll than any other running back. Averaged 7.9 yards per carry (2,664 yards) as well as a section-leading 204.9 yards per game for a team which led the area in total offense (449.8 avg.) and was second in scoring (40.7 avg.) a year ago. Also ran for 40 touchdowns his senior season as well as caught 23 passes for 245 yards and three TDs to pace the Inland Empire in scoring (20.3 ppg). The 2002 Nike Camp MVP led the Huskies to a 13-1 mark as an underclassman while acquiring Student Sports Junior All-American plaudits.
