What's Up:
Double Trouble- The Ducks continue to dominate doubles play, posting a 9-0 doubles dual match record this season.
Flawless- Two-time Pac-10 indoor champ Daria Panova still holds the No. 8 ranking in the country. Panova is off to a blazing start, winning her first six singles matches of the season.
Don't Forget- Not only has the doubles play been outstanding, but the singles play has been just as strong. The Ducks are 16-2 in singles dual matches this season.
Too Many Weapons- Oregon boasts a perfect 3-0 record at the No. 1, No. 2, No. 3, and No. 5 positions.
Last Week- The Ducks (3-0) got the revenge they were looking for, defeating Colorado, 7-0. The Buffs upset the Ducks, 4-3, last year, but Oregon domintaed, taking the dual match easily. Daria Panova (2-0), Dominika Dieskova (3-0), Courtney Nagle (2-0), Davina Mendiburu (3-0), and Ester Bak (2-0) all picked up victories to maintain their undefeated singles dual match records.
Coach Schyllander On Last Week- "Last week against Colorado I felt that the girls performed at a very high level throughout the match. Our doubles play was definitely the highlight of the match. We look to carry the momentum into the Portland/Boise/Minnesota weekend."
Coach Scyllander On The Upcoming Weekend- "In Boise we are facing our stiffest challenge so far. They are a well coached and a very dangerous team with lots of firepower. As for Minnesota they are coming of a great season finishing #29 in the country and with a share of the Big 10 regular season championship. We need to be ready and keep playing our game and focus on the little things that has made us successful so far. I also think our depth will play a big part in a three-match weekend."
