Tennis Wraps Up Regular Season Against No. 22 Huskies

WHAT'S UP
Climbing the Charts- Junior Sven Swinnen moved into 3rd all-time (57) on the Oregon career wins list and currently sits T-3rd (22) for single-season wins.
Clutch Wins- Swinnen and junior Manuel Kost were responsible for all three of Oregon’s points against No. 3 USC and No. 4 UCLA.
Going for the Record- Swinnen and sophomore Arron Spencer are three wins (16) away from tying the single-season doubles wins record (19).
Postseason Hopes- The Ducks are looking to head to the postseason for the first time since the 1999-00 season.
Conference Best- If the Ducks can defeat Washington it would clinch their best conference finish since 1999-00, when they finish T-5th.
LAST WEEK
#4 UCLA- The Ducks were defeated by the Bruins, 6-1. The lone victory for the Ducks came by way of No. 35 Sven Swinnen, who defeated No. 6 Tobias Clemens, 0-6, 6-4, (11-9). It was the second win this year for an Oregon singles player over a top 10 opponent (Manuel Kost defeated Washington’s No. 9, Alex Vlaski, 2/29).
#3 USC- Oregon played some its best tennis of the year but could not pull through against the Trojans, losing, 5-2. Swinnen came up with another victory over a ranked opponent, defeating No. 23 Adriano Biasella in two sets. Kost picked up Oregon’s second point, defeating No. 73 Johan Berg in two sets.

#22 Washington - The Huskies are 13-8 overall and 3-3 in Pac-10 play. UW has two players ranked in the top 100. Alex Vlaski is ranked No. 9 and is 17-3 in duals, while Alex Slovic is ranked No. 42 and is also 17-3. Both players make up the No. 37 doubles team (8-2 duals). In their previous meeting (2/29), the Ducks defeated the Huskies, 4-3. The top three singles positions and the doubles point were all won by Oregon.
