Women's Tennis Ink Ukranian Star

EUGENE, Ore. ? Tetiana Luzhanska, ranked as high as the No. 54 junior player in the world by the International Tennis Federation, has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend the University of Oregon according to women’s tennis coach Nils Schyllander.
Luzhanska, a 19-year old native of the Ukraine, attended the International Tennis Academy in Delray, Fla. for the past three years, where she was also ranked as high as No. 44 as a doubles player.
"We are very pleased as a program," Schyllander said. "Tetiana is one of the top recruits in the country. She will have an immediate impact on the team and on the national level as well."
The Ducks (16-8, 2-6) travel to Ojai, Calif., for the Pacific-10 Conference Tournament, Thursday, April 22 - Sunday, April 25. Reigning Pac-10 Player of the Year, Daria Panova, will compete for her fourth consecutive Pac-10 title.
