Football Gearing Up for Friday Scrimmage
The Oregon football team went through their fourth practice Thursday afternoon on Kilkenny Fields in front of the Casanova Center. Both the offense and defense went through separate workouts before joining up for seven-on-seven and 11-on-11 team drills. The Ducks were in pads for the second time this spring and will take part in their first scrimmage on Friday.
"I'm looking for them to play with reckless abandon," said head coach Mike Bellotti of Friday's action. "We're going to try to get everyone some live reps and that might be hard because we have only so many plays. Kids will have to make the most of their opportunity."
Friday's session is open to the public and begins at 3:45 pm. The team will take Saturday and Sunday off for the Easter Weekend with practice resuming next Tuesday.
The practices conclude with the Spring Game on Saturday, May 1 in Autzen Stadium. Kickoff is set for 12:30pm.
