Softball To Host Viewing For NCAA Regional Bids

EUGENE ? The 12th-ranked University of Oregon softball team will be on hand in the Pittman Room at the Len Casanova Athletic Center to watch the 2004 NCAA selection show Sunday, May 16. The 64-team field will be revealed between 5:30 p.m. - 6 p.m. Pacific time on ESPNews. The eight regional host sites were previously announced on May 8.
The event is open to working members of the media as well as the general public. Fans are encouraged to arrive by 5 p.m. and players will be available at 6:15 p.m. for interviews following the announcement. Snacks and beverages will be provided.
Under the direction of second-year head coach Kathy Arendsen, the Ducks are making their second straight NCAA regional appearance. Last season, Oregon was 5-2 at the Fullerton regional, falling one-game shy of making the College World Series.
