Women's Basketball Update

Australia Bound
The University of Oregon women's basketball team will be jet-setting to Australia in August for four exhibition games in Sydney, Canberra and Brisbane. The Ducks will meet in Eugene on Aug. 2 to begin a 10-day training camp. The Ducks then will fly into Sydney on Aug. 12 and return home Aug. 24. The entire team from last year, including graduated senior Kayla Steen, will be on the roster.
Getting Healthy
In other news, the team has been working out five days per week during the spring term as the team enters its final phase of training. Andrea Bills, Cathrine Kraayeveld, Corrie Mizusawa, Chelsea Wagner and Kaela Chapdelaine all have recovered well from season and postseason injuries.
Clinic With Cat
Cathrine Kraayeveld will be conducting a basketball clinic for girls in the fifth through eighth grades May 22 at McArthur Court. Registration is at 9:30 a.m. and the clinic begins at 10 a.m., ending at 4 p.m. The clinic will feature on-court instruction by Kraayeveld and other members of the UO women's basketball team, as well as guest speaker and head coach Bev Smith. All participants will receive a free T-shirt and lunch. The clinic is free for Boys and Girls Club members. For others, there will be a $20 fee, which also includes a Boys and Girls Club membership.
