Kost and Swinnen Begin Play at NCAA's

TULSA, Okla. ? The University of Oregon men's tennis team will be represented by juniors Sven Swinnen and Manuel Kost at the NCAA Individual Championships starting Wednesday. Swinnen will be making his first appearance, while Kost is making his second consecutive appearance.
Swinnen posted a 22-8 singles record, while jumping from an ITA ranking of No. 92 earlier this season to No. 16. The Switzerland native will be seeded at the No. 9-16 position, and will face No. 44-ranked William Barker of Rice in the first round. Teammate Manuel Kost faced Barker during a dual match played in Eugene earlier in the year. Kost defeated Barker 6-1, 6-2.
Kost posted an 18-10 singles record and is currently ranked No. 66. Kost will face Virginia's No. 9-ranked Doug Stewart who received a No. 9-16 seed.
The tournament will run from May 26-31. Live scoring will be available on host University of Tulsa’s website.
