Six Ducks Receive Pac-10 All-Academic Praise

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. ? Six University of Oregon tennis players received Pacific-10 Conference all-academic honors announced Commissioner Tom Hansen Friday.
On the men’s side, juniors Sven Swinnen and Manuel Kost received second-team mention. Swinnen carried a 3.36 grade point average while majoring in Pre Business Administration. The Switzerland native led the team with 22 singles victories while earning a bid to the NCAA Individual Championships. Fellow Switzerland native, Kost, a Business Administration major, posted a 3.40 GPA. Kost also received a bid to the NCAA’s ? his second consecutive.
The women placed four players on the all-academic team. Juniors Ester Bak and Daria Panova took home second-team honors. Bak majors in Accounting (3.57 GPA) and posted a 17-11 record. Panova, a three-time Pac-10 title winner and two-time All-Pac-10 first-team honoree, majors in Economics (3.38 GPA).
Rounding out the women are sophomore Anna Leksinska and senior Courtney Nagle who both received honorable mention praise.
