Poore Earns Easton First Team All-American Honors

EUGENE ? Senior catcher Jenn Poore was named to the Easton All-American first team while junior pitcher Ani Nyhus was a third team selection as announced by Easton today.
Poore, who finished her career at Oregon following another impressive run in 2004, is currently playing in the National Pro Fastpitch League for the Akron Racers. Poore led the Ducks in average (.321), runs (35) and had seven home runs and 23 RBI en route to earning second team All Pac-10 honors.
Nyhus set the single-season strikeout record (202) in her first season with the Ducks and finished with a 25-13 overall record and 1.54 ERA. Nyhus became the first player since 1999 to earn first team All-Pac-10 accolades and was a two-time pitcher of the week honoree during the season. She is currently training for the Olympics with Team Canada and will compete in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece later this summer.
