Midnight Madness Comes Early to Mac Court
This Friday, Oregon is hosting ESPNU for a live telecast of Midnight Madness for the first time in school history. Below is a time line of the events surrounding ESPNU’s Midnight Madness that will be taking place at McArthur Court, as well as other events the Athletic Department is hosting on a busy Friday night for the Ducks.
Midnight Madness is a free event, tickets are not necessary and seating will be first come, first served.
Midnight Madness - Friday, Oct. 14
9 a.m.
Wrist bands distributed at EMU to UO students with valid ID that will be required to receive a Pit Crew T-shirt that night at McArthur Court
7 p.m.
Doors open at McArthur Court for UO students with wristbands ONLY for distribution of 2005-06 Pit Crew T-shirts
7:30 p.m.
Door open to the general public; the first 1,000 fans will receive a limited edition “Midnight Madness” T-shirt.
7:30-8 p.m
Fan contests
8 p.m.
2005-06 UO Women’s Basketball Team takes the floor
9 p.m.
ESPNU live broadcast begins; 2005-06 UO Men’s Basketball Team takes the floor.
10 p.m.
Event ends.
*Prizes
-Free Pepsi and Popcorn will be given away as fans enter the building.
-Fan contests will be held throughout the evening with hundreds of prizes from Outback, Safeway, Bi-Mart and the UO Bookstore. Items autographed by the Oregon basketball team are also among the prizes, and one lucky fan will win a Motorola Rokr phone courtesy of Cingular.
-Ernie Kent and Bev Smith bobblehead dolls will also be given away.
