Tournament Cancelled; Softball Returns Home To Host Portland State In First-Ever Home February Game

RIVERSIDE, Calif. ? The 13th-ranked University of Oregon softball team’s scheduled games at the UC Riverside Invitational have been cancelled due to heavy southern California rains. The Ducks were to have played four games over the three-day tournament. Oregon’s opponents included Portland State, Riverside and University of San Diego.
Oregon will return home a day early in time to host Porltand State in a doubleheader at Howe Field beginning at noon on Sunday. Admission to the game is free. This marks the first time in school history that the softball program will host a February game. The Ducks are scheduled to go back on the road next weekend, taking part in the NFCA Classic in Columbus, Ga.
