Women?s Golf Opens Spring Season at Arizona

EUGENE, Ore. -- The Oregon women’s golf team opens its spring season Monday and Tuesday at the Arizona Wildcat Invitational. Teams will play two rounds Monday and a final one Tuesday on the 6,776-yard, par-71 Arizona National Golf Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones.
The Ducks will send an experienced contingent to the desert consisting of seniors Johnna Nealy and Jess Carlyon, juniors Erin Andrews and Michelle Timpani and sophomore Kim McCready.
The 14-team field includes defending Wildcat Invitational champion Vanderbilt as well as six teams in the top 20 -- No. 2 UCLA, No. 6 Pepperdine, No. 7 Oklahoma State, No. 9 Arizona State, No. 11 Tennessee, No. 19 Stanford. The rest of the field consists of Arizona, Nevada, Nevada-Las Vegas, New Mexico State, Northern Arizona, Oregon and Oregon State.
